How to Care for Your Taper Candles

To enjoy the best performance and longevity from your taper candles, please follow the care guidelines below.

Before Lighting
Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each use. Always place the candle in a secure, heat-resistant holder that fits the base properly. For an even, drip-free burn, keep candles away from drafts such as open windows, fans, or air vents.

During Use
Allow taper candles to burn for no more than 3–4 hours at a time. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep candles away from flammable materials, children, and pets. If wax begins to drip, extinguish the flame, allow the candle to cool, trim the wick if needed, and relight.

Extinguishing the Candle
We recommend using a candle snuffer to safely extinguish the flame and minimize smoke or wax splatter. After extinguishing, gently straighten the wick while the wax is still soft.

After Burning
Allow the candle and holder to cool completely before handling. Store unused candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat to maintain their shape and color.

Safety Note
Always burn taper candles on a level surface and discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains above the holder.
